API Usage Policy
Terms governing the use of our API and programmatic access.
Effective Date: April 15, 2026 · Last Updated: April 15, 2026
01 Overview
If Klonr provides API access to its platform features, this policy governs the terms of that access. API access may be offered to select plans or made available upon request. All API usage is subject to our Terms of Service and this API Usage Policy.
02 API Access & Authentication
- API access requires a valid API key issued through your account dashboard.
- Your API key is confidential. You are responsible for all activity conducted using your key.
- Do not share, publish, or embed your API key in publicly accessible code, repositories, or client-side applications.
- If you believe your API key has been compromised, rotate it immediately through your account settings and notify us.
- We reserve the right to revoke API keys at any time for policy violations or abuse.
03 Rate Limits & Fair Use
- API requests are subject to rate limits based on your subscription plan.
- Rate limits are enforced per API key and are measured on a per-minute and per-day basis.
- Exceeding rate limits will result in HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) responses.
- Persistent or intentional abuse of rate limits may result in temporary or permanent API access revocation.
- Current rate limits for each plan are documented in our API documentation.
04 Permitted Use
You may use the API to:
- Integrate AI image and video generation into your own applications, workflows, or platforms.
- Build tools and services for your own use or for your end users, provided you comply with all applicable policies.
- Automate content generation workflows within the bounds of your subscription plan.
05 Prohibited API Use
You may not use the API to:
- Resell, redistribute, or white-label API access without explicit written authorization from Klonr.
- Circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or content moderation filters.
- Generate any content that violates our Prohibited Content Policy.
- Reverse-engineer, extract, or replicate the underlying AI models or algorithms.
- Build competing services using our API as the backend.
- Conduct automated scraping, crawling, or data harvesting of our platform.
- Send requests that are designed to overload, stress-test, or degrade platform performance.
- Use the API for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations.
06 Content Moderation via API
All content generated through the API is subject to the same content policies as content generated through the web interface. This includes:
- Automated content moderation and prompt filtering.
- Prohibited content detection and enforcement.
- Logging and auditing of API-generated content for safety and compliance.
Attempting to bypass content moderation through prompt engineering, encoded inputs, or other methods is a policy violation and may result in immediate API access revocation and account termination.
07 Uptime & Availability
- We aim to maintain high API availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime.
- Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance where possible.
- We are not liable for losses arising from API downtime, latency, or errors.
- API status and incident reports are available through our status page (where applicable).
08 Versioning & Deprecation
- API endpoints may be versioned. We will maintain backward compatibility where possible.
- Deprecated endpoints will be announced at least 60 days before removal.
- We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue API features at any time with reasonable notice.
09 Liability & Indemnification
You are responsible for all content generated and actions taken through your API key. You agree to indemnify and hold Klonr harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the API, including content generated by your end users through your integration.
