Data Retention Policy
How long we store your data and how we handle its deletion.

01 Overview
Klonr retains personal data and user-generated content only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. This policy explains what we keep, for how long, and how you can request deletion.
02 Retention Schedule
Account Information
- Active Accounts: Your name, email, profile data, and account settings are retained for the lifetime of your account.
- Deactivated Accounts: Account data is retained for 30 days after deactivation to allow reactivation, then permanently deleted.
- Deleted Accounts: Upon account deletion request, personal data is purged within 30 days, except where legal retention is required.
Generated Content (Images & Videos)
- Active Accounts: AI-generated images and videos are stored for as long as your account remains active, unless you manually delete them.
- After Account Deletion: All generated content is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
- Temporary Processing Data: Intermediate generation data (partial renders, processing queues) is deleted within 24–72 hours.
Uploaded Content (Reference Images, Audio)
- Active Use: Uploaded reference images, face photos, and audio files are retained while your account is active.
- After Account Deletion: All uploaded content is permanently deleted within 30 days.
- Notable: Copies of uploaded content sent to third-party AI providers (Google, Kuaishou, ByteDance) are subject to those providers' own retention policies. See our Third-Party Services Policy.
Financial & Transaction Data
- Transaction Records: Payment history, invoices, and billing records are retained for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting laws.
- Payment Methods: Credit card details are stored by our payment processor (Stripe) and are not stored on our servers. See Stripe's retention policies.
Communication Data
- Support Tickets: Customer support communications are retained for 2 years after resolution.
- Email Marketing: Marketing preferences and communication logs are retained until you unsubscribe or delete your account.
Logs & Analytics
- Server Logs: IP addresses, access logs, and error logs are retained for up to 90 days.
- Analytics Data: Anonymized and aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.
- Security Logs: Authentication attempts, suspicious activity logs, and security events are retained for up to 1 year.
03 Legal Basis for Retention
We retain data based on the following legal grounds:
- Contractual Necessity: Data required to provide you with our services under our Terms of Service.
- Legal Obligation: Tax records, financial data, and other information required by law.
- Legitimate Interest: Security logs, fraud prevention data, and anonymized analytics for platform improvement.
- Consent: Marketing communications and optional data you choose to provide.
04 Extended Retention
In certain circumstances, we may retain data beyond the standard retention periods:
- Active Disputes: Data related to ongoing legal disputes, chargebacks, or investigations.
- Law Enforcement Requests: Data subject to legal holds, subpoenas, or regulatory investigations.
- Fraud Prevention: Data associated with accounts terminated for fraud, abuse, or policy violations may be retained to prevent re-registration.
- Safety Concerns: Content flagged for illegal activity (e.g., CSAM, identity fraud) may be retained and reported to authorities as required by law.
05 Data Deletion Requests
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by:
- Deleting your account through your account settings.
- Emailing us at klonraihelp@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request."
Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will:
- Confirm your identity before processing the request.
- Delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days.
- Notify you when the deletion is complete.
- Retain only data required by law or for legitimate legal purposes.
Please note that deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Any generated content, saved projects, or uploaded media will be irreversibly removed.
06 Secure Disposal
When data reaches the end of its retention period, we use industry-standard methods for secure disposal:
- Digital data is permanently erased using cryptographic erasure or secure deletion methods.
- Database records are purged and overwritten.
- Backups containing expired data are rotated and overwritten within their normal backup cycle (typically 30–90 days).
07 Third-Party Retention
Data shared with third-party service providers is subject to their own retention policies. We require our partners to delete data when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was shared. However, we cannot guarantee the data handling practices of third parties. See our Third-Party Services Policy for details on specific providers.
08 Policy Updates
We may update this Data Retention Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through our platform and/or via email. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
